Graduate Research Scientist

The Role

The client is seeking to appoint a Senior Scientist to start as soon as possible at their newly refurbished facility in Culham. This is a permanent role following a probationary period of 1 month. Previous laboratory experience is essential (biological/biomedical background preferred). The candidate will have good practical and troubleshooting skills, and be experienced in the day to day running of a lab.

A post has become available for a graduate-level research scientist, preferably with a background in Neuroscience.

The successful candidate will be performing screening studies using the Western Blot or ELISA techniques: she/he will therefore have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, pay great attention to detail and have good organisational skills. The ability to troubleshoot, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude are also required. Start date as soon as possible.

This is an interesting role, encompassing a wide range of skills that would suit a candidate who is proactive, can work independently, yet also be team-player. The post offers the opportunity of working within a fast-paced research lab environment with an exciting and novel approach to understanding and treating Alzheimer’s disease. The successful candidate will be part of the scientific group, complemented by a strong management team who oversee the general administrative affairs of the company.

Role Requirements

·A sound familiarity with IT
