Pathology Technician
Huntingdon, East Anglia

Our Client is looking to recruit a Trainee Pathologist to join their  established and very knowledgeable and busy team. The role will consist of the histological examination and reporting of findings in safety evaluation studies in a variety of species, performed under good laboratory practice (GLP) for the purpose of registration with one or more regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:
Attending post mortems as per rota.

Histopathological evaluation of tissue sections by light microscopy and recording of relevant changes on the computer database.

Preparation of macroscopic pathology and histopathology reports following the templates.

Communicating with internal customers and external customers to gather data for studies and communicate findings and discuss peer review.

Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to the team, ensuring maintenance of scientific quality and process improvement.

Promoting Envigo with the production and delivery of presentations and scientific papers, the undertaking of research projects and the attendance of meetings.

Job Requirements:
Veterinary degree (MRCVS membership) or equivalent

Experience in diagnostic or toxicological pathology

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Ideally will have worked in pharmaceutical company or CRO

Salary: 40,000 - £46,000
