I have experience as an animal technician, what are the benefits of joining S3 Science?
Quite simply; as an experienced animal technician you could further your career and open up a greater number of job opportunities by registering with us. With so few recruitment agencies working in this sector you certainly won’t be harming your chances of gaining your next, exciting new role by talking to us. We’ve been providing recruitment services to this industry since 2002 so we recruit for animal facilities across the UK, nationwide. You’ll find that we offer a personal and informal recruitment service and with very little internal staff turnover you’ll be speaking to the same recruiter today as you will tomorrow.
We only offer the one single core service – recruitment. We decided many years ago that branching out into other areas for the sake of further profits would probably mean we have to take our eye off what we’re good at – making placements.
If I work for S3 Science on a temporary assignment do you offer a training allowance?
As a member of our temporary team you will also receive a training allowance from which you can spend on various training courses. A specialised member of the the S3 team will even source your training course for you and support you every step of the way.
Why do you not offer zero-hour permanent employment contracts?
We do not operate zero hour contracts as we feel they are unfair and misleading. Our Animal Technologists are employed using easy to read, straight forward temporary employment contracts and paid weekly upon presentation of their weekly timesheet. We clearly show your remuneration including overtime rates without any hidden deductions or restrictive clauses forcing you to work away from home, etc. Our contracts make plain where you will be working, for how long and on what rate of pay.
If I have a problem at my workplace can I contact S3?
S3 Science operate a 24hr emergency telephone line if you have a problem. All the contact details are provided to you when you join S3 Science.
Is travel and accommodation paid for?
If you are working away from home then all travel and accommodation is sourced and paid for by S3 Science.
