Laboratory Manager/NACWO

Kennford, South West

We are recruiting for a Laboratory Manager/NAWCO to join our client based near Kennford. Our client is the fastest growing UK Research facility with some of the world’s most influential scientists.

As a Laboratory Manager you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of the research facilities. This will include animal husbandry and supporting the needs for research projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Running the lab on a day-to-day basis
• Managing the research facility
• Contributing to animal husbandry tasks
• Understand and adhere to GLP standards
• Ensuring equipment work is conducted
• Organise and manage staff
• Lead and manage the delivery of a range of research projects within the facility

Job requirements:

• NACWO trained
• Home office license
• Experience in a laboratory (at least 4 years)
• Familiar with husbandry of rodents
• Experience working within a research facility
• Working knowledge of rodent housing systems, BSU infrastructure and biosecurity
• Working knowledge of behavioural research with rodents (not essential)
