Senior / Research Scientist
Warwickshire, Midlands

We are recruiting a Senior/ Research Scientist to join our well-established client based in the centre of the UK. Our client is dedicated to health and welfare of farmed animals, proudly supporting the world’s leading veterinary and feed additive companies.

As Senior/ Research Scientist, you will be planning and managing the delivery of research studies to assist client’s development in animal health products.

Key responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the delivery of a range of research studies with farm animal species to assist clients develop veterinary medicines and nutritional products
  • Produce well written protocols, reports and SOP’s
  • Liaise closely with clients to ensure their requirements are fully understood
  • Organise and manage staff to ensure tasks are efficiently carried out
  • Assist in the development of new business, through establishing good client relationships, identifying new opportunities and assisting with project proposals
  • Understand and adhere to Good Laboratory Practice, Good Clinical Practice (veterinary), Home Office and other relevant guidelines (Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, etc.)
  • Ensure staff and studies comply with internal and external quality standards
  • Ensure that studies are planned, managed and lead to ensure compliance with recognised standards

 

Job Requirements:


  • Experienced in managing the delivery of studies involving farm animal species, or similar experience
  • Good understanding of Good Laboratory Practice, Good Clinical Practice (veterinary) and the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act
  • Driving licence
  • Home Office Licence
  • Familiar with the husbandry of large animals would be beneficial

 

Due to the location of the site, you are required to hold a driving license and have access to your own car.

Salary: £36,200 - £46,500
