At S3 Science we link our clients with candidates with one key focus ‘to train and place animal lovers into a career as Animal Technician. Our sole aim is to provide suitable, enthusiastic, and passionate Animal Technicians to employers nationwide. As you can appreciate, with animal welfare being such a high priority all new trainee animal technicians must complete a short induction training programme. This will comprise several short and very basic multiple-choice study modules so you can hit the ground running.
Daily duties working as an Animal Technician include;
- Feeding and watering
- General health checking
- Handling animals
- Cage cleaning and washing
The qualities of an Animal Technician are:
- High levels of motivation and a good work ethic
- A genuine passion to work with animals – demonstrating care, welfare, and compassion
- Previous experience working with (and handling) animals would be beneficial
- Accurate data entry
- Flexible and adaptable
- Enjoys working on your own and as part of a team
