Analytical Scientist – Method Development and Validation
Bradford, North West

Here at S3 Discovery, we are currently working with our client, a global Contract Research Organisation, is currently looking for an Analytical Scientist to specialise in Method Development and Validation, to join their team within the Chromatograph Group.

Based at the client’s class-leading facility near Bradford, you will be using a range of chromatographic techniques such as LC, GC and IC, with a wide range of discovery techniques including MS and MS/MS. This role is paying up to £27K, with other industry-leading benefits included.

Main responsibilities as an Analytical Scientist include but not limited to:

  • Method development and validation, including drafting of related documents (methods, protocols, reports)
  • Training of co-workers in own specialist techniques
  • Analytical problem solving; instrument and method troubleshooting
  • Revenue producing laboratory-based analytical project work, applying diverse analytical techniques to a wide range of sample types in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, agrochemical, bulk chemical fields

An ideal candidate will have proven knowledge and experience in the chromatography field, predominantly HPLC and GC, as well as experience of the use of a broad range of detectors in a commercial setting.

What experience and qualifications do I need?

  • BSc or PhD in an analytical, chemical or related scientific field with demonstrated, relevant experience
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment (quality, health and safety)
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative, think and work independently, problem-solve, work in teams and multitask
