The successful candidate will join as an Analytical Scientist to join our client’s separation sciences team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in chromatography techniques, particularly LC-MS/MS and LCMS, and experience with GC MS and a broad range of detectors in a commercial setting. The role involves developing and validating methods, analysing test samples, and communicating results to clients and the team. It is a critical position in the separation science team, and experience in a regulated environment is essential. Full training is provided for both technical and business skills to support career growth.
Responsibilities
- Work on laboratory-based analytical projects, this may include; discussions with clients, preparation of project plans, technical oversight of analytical work, conducting complex analysis, review of data and presentations to clients. The specific technical areas will be driven by your current expertise as well as your personal development objectives.
- Retain and develop technical skills and knowledge by maintaining awareness of scientific literature to assist work progression, contribute to upskilling junior team members and contribute to and support team improvement suggestions.
- Contribute to company goals and operate in accordance with our company values.
- Build excellent customer relationships through regular, proactive communication, high-quality assessment and presentation of data against the client’s needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc or higher in an analytical, chemical, or related scientific field with demonstrated, relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to run complex scientific projects ideally within the pharmaceutical field
- Experience with method development and validations within a GMP environment
- Practical, extensive experience with separation science techniques including;
- HPLC
- LC-MS
- GC-MS
- Ion Chromatography
- GPC
- TLC
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and trouble shoot instrument issues within the area of expertise
