We have an incredible opportunity for an Animal Facility Manager to join our well-known client, who proudly holds over 40 years of experience and development within the life science industry.

Your role will be to provide direction and leadership to the Animal Facility, ensuring that organisational objectives are met. You will run an environment where the highest levels of animal care, quality, compliance and safety is demonstrated at all times.

Responsibilities:

To lead a team of team leaders and animal technologists
To set and agree overall objectives for the Facility to meet company goals
To equip and maintain the facility to meet the highest standards and to recommend/implement improvements
To devise systems, procedures and processes that deliver work consistently to Home Office and MHRA standards
To collaborate with other AFM’s in order to achieve objectives
To develop and manage to Key Performance Indicators and communicate any issues to the Head of LAS
To focus the team on producing the highest quality data on time, supported by world class animal welfare
To compile and manage the Facility’s budget
To ensure that staff are trained in all aspects of health and safety pertaining to their role
To undertake the role at all times in compliance with: Good Laboratory Practice and AAALAC, The Animal (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 as amended and the Company Standard Operating Procedures
