We have an incredible opportunity for an Animal Support Technician to join our well-known client, who proudly holds over 40 years of experience and development within the life science industry.

Your main role as an Animal Support Technician will include assisting in the daily husbandry and welfare of animals, you will perform daily routine tasks, such as feeding and watering.

Your main duties will include:

Provision of environmental enrichment
Ensuring enclosures and cages are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Provision of adequate fresh food and water
Carrying out daily tasks which include temperature monitoring, animal checks and general housekeeping within the department
Ensuring that all animal husbandry and procedural records/data are up to date and accurate

Skills and Experience:

Knowledge of animal behaviour and animal welfare
Demonstrating patience when learning something new
Working well in a team, but also being able to focus on your own
Having curiosity and interest in the science of the work we do.
Being adaptable and flexible
Being prepared to work some unsocial hours
