As an Animal Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and welfare to the animals, performing animal husbandry duties including:

Provision of adequate fresh food and water
Provision of environmental enrichment
Ensuring enclosures and cages are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Conducting daily tasks which include temperature monitoring, animal checks and general housekeeping within the department
Ensuring that all animal husbandry and procedural records/data are up to date and accurate
Performing tasks in accordance with company work instructions and procedures

Skills and Experience-

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Natural empathy for animals
The ability to learn and the capability to further develop your skills in animal husbandry, and care
Previous experience of working with and handling animals
GCSEs, or equivalent qualifications A*-C (4+) in Maths, Science and English or an Animal Care or Animal Management Qualification at Level 2 or higher
IT skills of a good standard
Strong attention to detail
Ability to commute to site is essential

Salary: 9.50 - £15.00 p/h
