We are working alongside our client, who focuses on the development of treatments for serious diseases such as diseases of the eye, salivary gland, and central nervous system diseases. They are looking for an Automation Scientist to join their expanding team in London to develop and support the increasing portfolio of AAV therapies.
The purpose of this role is to optimise research data workflows and develop date analysis and modelling tools, enabling process development and liquid handling automation for process development and analytical development activities.
The role
- Transfer and development of AAV PD activities into automated liquid handling workflows
- Transfer and development of manual analytical assays into automated liquid handling workflows
- Optimisation and continuous improvement of existing automated analytical and AAV PD workflows
- Development of liquid handling platform maintenance and performance check procedures
- Maintenance of liquid handling platform equipment
- Deliver manual-to-automated transfer projects according to study protocols
- Deliver automated workflow optimisation projects according to study protocols
- Maximisation of automated liquid handling platform usage and minimisation of equipment downtime
What we are looking for
Essential
- BSc / MSc degree in engineering or life science discipline
- experience in development of automated liquid handling workflows
- Hands-on experience in life cycle management and maintenance of automated liquid handling platforms
Desired
- PhD focused on development / optimisation of automated liquid handling workflows
- Knowledge of AAV bioprocessing, vector quality attributes and analytics
- Knowledge of DoE methodologies, especially when applied to liquid handling-enabled process development
- Experience with data management platforms
