We are partnered with a growing contract research organisation who is looking to recruit a Head of QA to join their friendly and motivated team. Our client based in Herefordshire proudly hold over 40 years of experience in the conduct of non-clinical regulatory safety testing for their client base.

The primary purpose of the job is to assure that all operations conform to and comply with GLP requirements. The secondary purpose is to take quality further than regulatory compliance and drive company quality improvement initiatives.

Functions and responsibilities:

To manage the operations of the Quality Assurance Unit regarding its GLP remit
To ensure that these areas operate to agreed professional, scientific, technical and quality standards
To assure management that the operations of the Company are conducted in compliance with GLP and submit, to management, a monthly compliance report
To ensure that all staff within the Quality Assurance Unit and Archives receive adequate training and supervision in accordance with Company policy
To manage the operations of the Archives, ensuring that it is maintained in compliance with GLP
To provide audited reports within agreed timescales and cost budgets
To keep up to date with relevant regulatory requirements and to attend such symposia, congresses and workshops as may be required
To recommend appropriate capital expenditure items to the Line Manager for authorisation/approval under the Company’s capital expenditure control system
To recruit, train and develop staff in accordance with the agreed Company policy
Other duties as assigned
