We have a brilliant opportunity for an in-vivo scientist, who is looking to further their career at a company that invests in its employees. Our client offers experimental services to companies in sectors such as pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, virtual companies, and healthcare investors, in the UK, mainland Europe and the USA.

The Role

The role itself will be based within the Drug Abuse team at the client. You will be utilising your experience and competencies in surgeries with animal models on a regular basis. Essentially, you will be involved with the running of the IVSA animals.

You will be responsible but not limited to:

§ Carrying out Jugular Cannulation surgery and or recovery of rat models post-surgery

§ Handling of experimental data

§ Formulation and administration of compounds

§ Collection of samples and tissues

§ Assist the Study Director in the production of data and report to the client

§ The successful candidate will have their home office licence modules 1-4

§ Experience in various dosing techniques in rat models

§ Experience in surgical techniques in rat models

§ Must have a good understanding of the ASPA 1986 Act

Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 p/a
