Junior Research Technician

As a Junior Research Technician, you will be working within the Operations Team to support the functioning of the In Vivo laboratories.

 

Main responsibilities as a Junior Research Technician include but not limited to:

  • Performing experimental procedures
  • Researching In Vivo projects
  • Supporting the functioning of the In Vivo laboratories
  • Animal welfare checks
  • Maintaining and managing supplies of materials

 

What skills, experience and qualifications do I need?

  • Minimum of NVQ, GCSE, or A-level education
  • BTEC National Diploma in Animal Care (or a related area) would be to an advantage
  • The desire to learn all aspects of a working animal unit from husbandry to experimental procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate accurate data recording practices
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software
  • PIL AB are essential, PIL C would be advantageous
  • Must have a driver’s license and car
