Laboratory Hygiene Technicians are highly regarded, well paid, and offered continuous training within the industry as well as the chance to work in multimillion-pound animal facilities.
It’s a role that you will be able to do knowing you will have contributed to the research and development of the next ground-breaking pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and agrochemical products and potentially make a difference in people’s lives helping to combat serious illnesses and diseases such as Cancer, Dementia and Heart Disease etc.
The role
As a Laboratory Hygiene Technicians , you will be required to carry out general maintenance and cleaning duties around the Lab assisting the Researchers and Scientists in their day-to-day duties. Your duties and responsibilities will be but not limited to:
- Washing of animal cages using wash machine or manual method, as directed
- Cleaning and maintaining the animal rooms and associated areas to the company’s written standards
- Receiving and dispatching of goods into and out of the barrier, with the correct use of the sterilization procedures to maintain barrier status
- Any plant and environment check as directed
- Carrying out any other tasks or duties as may be required by the Group leader or supervisor from time to time
About you
We are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated individual who is eager to learn and develop who has an interest in working with technical machinery as well as being passionate about animal welfare.
The Requirements
- Have a good work ethic and work cohesively in a team
- 5 GCSEs at grade C or above
- You must be physically fit
- Organized and self-motivated
- Good time management being able to stick to strict
ALL training is provided free of charge and you will be paid weekly, the end goal of the programme is for you to enter full-time employment with one of our employer partners or work with S3 Science as an Animal Technician.
