Our client is a highly respected, successful and world-renewed and leading institution in Cancer Research. As part of our client’s success and continued expansion, they are looking for a Laboratory Support Technician, to join them in their hub in Cheshire on a permanent basis.

The Role:
In this role as a Laboratory Support Technician, you will be required to perform general maintenance and cleaning duties around the Lab, assisting the Technicians and Scientists in their day-to-day duties – essential to the running of the facility.
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
§ Sterilising and cleaning of equipment and machinery
§ Receiving and dispatching of goods into and out of the barrier, with the correct use of the sterilization procedures to maintain barrier status
§ Remove, treat and dispose of waste from rooms as required
§ Operating cage wash machinery, equipment and autoclaves
§ Cleaning and maintaining the animal rooms and associated areas

Requirements:
§ Previous experience in working in either a cage wash service area, hospital or laboratory setting
§ Have a strong work ethic and work cohesively in a team
§ Strict adherence to and understanding of protocols, and health and safety requirements
