Senior Manufacturing Scientist

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Scientist on behalf of our world-leading client to take a leading role in the generation of client and collaborator production requests for dbDNA at either feasibility or GMP grade. The Senior Manufacturing Scientist will be a Subject Matter Expert in dbDNA GMP Manufacturing process.

Our client is moving away from today’s restrictive biological approached and have made DNA manufacturing simple. A unique vector is optimised for use in advanced genetic medicines, being safer and more effective than conventional plasmid DNA. The platform, based on enzymatic technology, enables DNA production at unprecedented scale, speed and purity.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing dbDNA at both, feasibility and GMP grades
Leading and training Scientists
Ensuring best practices and regulatory guidelines are followed
Maintaining Quality Management System

Skills

Science Degree – BSc or higher
At least two years of experience working as a Manufacturing Scientist
At least five years of experience within a GMP manufacturing environment
Excellent IT skills
Ensuring and maintaining high standards of H&S
Ability to follow and create SOPs and other types of manufacturing documentation
Confident presenter and able to lead team meetings
Excellent problem-solving and trouble shooting skills
Experience with training and coaching junior staff
Proactive and able to organize their own work as well as work of other team members with continuous improvement mind set
Reliable, enthusiastic and self-motivated; willing to adapt to fast changing environment with the ability to prioritise tasks to complete projects on time in a busy and commercially focused department

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000
