Senior Scientist/Manager – Pharmacology
Bristol, South West

Our client is seeking an individual to take on the role of a manager or equivalent with focus on project management and coordination for our in vivo infectious diseases team.

Our client is industry-proven in the successful growth of novel therapies, with over 80 preclinical drug candidates and 350 patents delivered to their sponsors in the last 17 years. Key Responsibilities as a Senior Scientist/Manager include but not limited to:

  • Take on a support role in project management and communication internally between infectious diseases and in vivo pharmacology teams
  • Monitor projects from protocol design to study archiving including performing technical work


We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Has the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, multitask, deadline-orientated atmosphere
  • Is computer literate, specifically with Excel. GraphPad experience is desirable but training can be provided
  • Is detail-orientated
  • Has a good knowledge and an understanding of study protocols and in vivo work. Experience in infectious diseases, viral and/or bacterial, is desirable
  • Has the ability to work independently and as a member of an integrated team
  • Holds a Home Office Personal License under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986
  • Has experience executing regulated procedures, administering substances by a variety of routes and performing blood sampling and dissection of small rodents
  • Has practise working under the Code of Practice for the housing and care of animals used in scientific procedures
  • Works within defined Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) with a keen eye for detail
  • Has passion for working with animals and their welfare
