Now let’s get to the standard bit..

Core Responsibilities;

You will be responsible for;

  • operating the latest robotic machinery for washing and sterilisation of all equipment
  • cleaning rodent cages
  • prioritising the workload of the service area
  • providing valuable support to the team.

Duties include;

  • overseeing the daily operation of a modern automated cage wash facility, including robotic systems
  • provide an efficient service to support the facility
  • Cage cleaning and sterilisation duties will be performed together with basic maintenance and fault resolution of the cage wash equipment
  • Management of waste products, consumable stocks, and supply of clean cages, equipment and consumables to animal holding rooms is also a requirement.

Our Client seeks a candidate who ideally;

  • has some form of knowledge of the bio-containment requirements of a modern laboratory animal facility (although not essential).
  • has a basic understanding of equipment maintenance, although full equipment training will be mandatory and given from day 1 via a formal induction.
  • has an ability to use their own initiative and problem solve will also be required.
  • Is able to take pride in their work and likes being responsible for their own performance
  • Applicants should be able to follow and understand Standard Operating Procedure documents and have knowledge/experience of industrial cleaning.
