Technician Team Manager

If so, then look no further! Our client is looking for a dedicated and hard-working Technician Team Manager to join their team of professionals.

As a Team Manager, you will be the key point of contact between the Study Managers, Science Team and the Technician Team. You will have a vital and important role to ensure the smooth running of the day to day work in the facility.

 

Main responsibilities as a Technician Team Manager include but not limited to:

  • Mentoring staff to maintain a high standard of animal husbandry and study procedures
  • Line managing the technician team and deputy technician team manager
  • Co-ordinating with the compliance manager to maintain compliance requirements on the unit, including staff training, security measures and competence records, as well as assisting with equipment and feed management
  • Planning work rotas for effective and efficient staffing solutions

 

What skills, experience and qualifications do I need?

  • Home Office Personal License holder, or has experience of working on Home Office regulated studies
  • Has working knowledge of biosecurity procedures
  • Can follow study procedures and can keep accurate, detailed written records
  • Has a strong track record of team management, as well as good communication skills
  • Physically capable of carrying out manual labour
  • An ideal candidate will have strong husbandry skills with farm animals
  • It is essential the candidate has a driver’s license
