Your training will be held in our client’s biological services facility, your job as Service Technician is essential to the smooth running of the facility. You will be a part of an experienced, welcoming team who will push you to progress.

As a Service Technician, your role may include (although is not limited to):

Maintaining the cleanliness of designated areas and equipment
Reporting faults to individuals responsible for the area
Operating cage washing equipment
Maintain, operate and troubleshoot machinery
Removing waste from cages/pens and processing through the relevant waste disposal stream
Sterilisation of cages/equipment
Adherence to Health and Safety legislation, COSHH regulations and other Standard Operating Procedures
Collection and transportation of goods
Undertaking laundry duties
Committed to working as part of a team whilst building the skills to work autonomously

Our 12-week training programme includes:

A short online course with an informative workshop
A week of work experience where you will be shadowing a Senior Technician
A further 11 weeks of paid learning
Upon completion of the training course, you will receive a certificate in favour of your hard work
